A third of the food grown in Kenya never gets eaten.

Not because it has gone bad. Because the bakery closed, the buffet ended, the crate did not sell that morning. NourishGo exists to give that food one more chance to reach a table.

The problem isn't scarcity

At the end of every service there is food that is perfectly good and completely unsellable. A vendor can throw it away at a loss, or give it away and still carry the cost.

Meanwhile, a few streets away, someone is deciding what they can afford to eat tonight.

The food and the need already exist. What was missing was a route between them.

NourishGo is that route: vendors list surplus at a steep discount, customers reserve and pay in seconds, and collection happens with a simple pickup code.

We started in Nairobi, with a simple belief: good food deserves to be eaten.

How we think

Food waste is usually framed as a moral failing. We think it is mostly a logistics problem with a very short deadline — so we build for speed, clarity and trust rather than guilt.
